I wanna see an Epic Rap Battles of History between Paul Harvey and Garrison Keillor for the title of King of Cornpone.

So, which one of these "down-home homesteads" do you think is more "good ole fashioned small town"? Who's who?

I loved it when newscasters and radio personalities had such distinctive voices.  These days, most are just some muddling voice that's basically interchangeable  - nobody has a voice that truly stands out as unique.

How many of these voices can you remember?

Howard K Smith
David Brinkley
Chet Huntley
Walter Cronkite
Paul Harvey
John Cameron Swayze
John Facenda (voice of the NFL Films as well as a Phila newscaster)
Ed Sullivan
Edward G Robinson
John Wayne
Peter Lorre
Alfred Hitchcock
James Cagney

The only truly distinctive voices I can think of in the present day are James Earl Jones, Morgan Freeman, Jack Nicholson, Ben Stein and Bobcat Goldthwait... and none are newscasters.
