Second, I call bullshit on the 'chast bomb' theory. The 'gash' is undoubtedly a posterolateral thoracotomy, executed as an emergency procedure in an attempt to provide manual heart massage and preserve his life. If it had been from an explosive device there would have been more shredding of the dermal layers and there would have been evidence of flash burns at the site. As it is, you can see clear evidence of cuts made by surgical instruments and sharp margins which reveals it to be a deliberate cut. In addition, there's evidence of Betadine on the skin surface, which would normally be used in any emergency cut prep.

I thought the claim about the IED, quoted by the news organization where I found the pic, was a bit fishy. I should know better than to trust that reporters know what the fuck they're talking about. I should have noticed the Betadine stain, and many years ago I observed an episode of manual heart massage in an ER.

"Not Caucasian" is exactly what a show needs to diversify its cast IF all the other cast is already Caucasian.
You can't be thin skinned if you want to be an actor because judging on superficial factors such as height, weight, ethnicity, accent, prettiness, ugliness, handsomeness, averageness, etc, are a necessary part of the job.
Casting a ethnically diverse cast in Canada is bound to be challenging because of the low percentage of non-whites in Canada.
