Em, can we call you John Martin now?  Sounds a little too much like you.

A man named John Martin wrote: "parts of that editorial were right on, as a 6 year veteran of the army, and avid gun owner I believe in responsible use and monitoring. What nut job really thinks an average person should own a grenade launcher or .50 caliber machine gun? That people who are mentally insane and dont (sic) fully interact with reality should have a fully automatic deadly weapon? The editorial was thought out, responsible, and for a brief moment, made the hard core gun world actually look reasonable. I cannot believe so many people are embarrassing themselves, and making gun enthusiasts look like a bunch of pouting 5 year olds.. So very disappointed."

The magazine should have backed this guy and taken the consequences.  However, I've said this before Em.  Reasonable regulations are appropriate for handling and carrying guns, and I believe he was is saying that.   However, liberals are not interested in reasonable regulations.  They are constantly trying to find a way around the 2nd amendment to ban guns.  They figure that if they just keep piling on the regulations, eventually it will be impossible to own or bear arms.  For this reason, you cannot blame gun owners for refusing to give an inch.  Every gun regulation is seen as the camel's nose under the tent.

The 2nd amendment gives you the right to turn your home into an ammo dump.  There's no reason why you shouldn't be allowed to purchase any weapon your little heart can afford and desire.  If this freaks out your neighbors, tough shit!  Stand your ground and kill the motherfuckers!

It's the extremist on both sides of the aisle that are turning this into a continuing shit show, each side seems to take their turn.  As I've mentioned firearms will never go away but we need to put adults in charge of the situation.  The amusing reality is that since Obama has come into office firearm regulations at the federal level have actually loosened yet I still get emails telling me Obama wants to take my guns away.  On the other hand I took the Mass. weapons safety class recently and the only thing they covered were side arms, WTF?

Also there appears to be a severe ammo shortage recently and prices have sky-rocketed; hmmm...  ...corporate influence perhaps?
