I have actually thought about this a bit in the past and I simply decided that, as a group, we are aging, and as we age, we also mellow. Our priorities become less about simply being nasty, searching for something more gross than the last post, and become more about what really matters to us as individuals. I don't even bother looking at the horrid underbelly of the internet anymore. Perhaps I am jaded by what I have already seen. But I choose to believe that it is more that I just don't need to see that shit anymore.
Obviously not everyone will feel the same, and to those I say good luck and peace, out.

I think PussyHurt has a valid point, most of us have been here a while and are gently aging. BigCat seems to have missed a decade or so and liked to create strife whilst the rest of us have turned to humor.
I personally come here because it is not FaceBook or Twitter, people post interesting topics and great pictures. As a political moderate I get to hear opposing view points (yes Phreddy, including yours) and it expands my understanding of the world at large.
