This is close to what I do, unfortunately sister-in-law has a muslim husband ruling out this delight this year.

We have a drinking thread, a porn thread and surprisingly lack the other prime gluttony subject - a cooking thread. I'd like to see a side link 'cause I'm not fat enough....

I've done turkey close to that. The recipe I found years ago combined that with a cooked sweet potato and banana dish, and a gravy recipe all to be made with the oven at 375 at the same time. The gravy is more trouble than it's worth (there are easier ways).
If you're just looking to get fatter pound cake is hard to beat. I've been making that recipe without sifting the flour (I like the texture better) in two loaf pans for years and everyone likes it. The copy I have doesn't have salt, adds the vanilla last, and preheats the oven.

Banjo has been the life of this place lately so perhaps we should add a side pict of said menu to make his heart a little warmer.

We do order the fried turkey from [redacted]'s every Thanksgiving. It's mighty fine. Damn, now you made me want to beat off.

All we need is four more threads to make up the Deadly Seven. How much extra work could that be?

Most Jews I know are quite happy to eat pork, including one who went on about how much she loves bacon. I don't see why Muslims can't ignore this inessential little tidbit of their religion.

Although I detest the use of a microwave in cooking, the vodka pie crust sounds wonderful.
Nuking any kind of squash is dumb, unless you're hungry and in a hurry. The plant cell walls quickly lose their shit. Canned "pumpkin" and bakery pies are almost always butternut squash. If you're taking the trouble to bake, spend a little more for ceylon cinnamon and grind your own. You will not regret it. My crusts are mostly laminated, like puff paste.
I recently moved to the beach, under mighty oaks, and didn't grow a pumpkin patch this year, or much of anything. Have to find another way to bribe my letter carrier. Think LeBeau and Schultzy. Hmmm, strudel.
