And Matt Crossman has bullshit. Why is there no mention in the article about the judging system in place at the time that put more emphasis on looks than on skating ability? It was precisely that system that made Harding think that she needed to nobble her competition just to get an even break.

All I know is Tonya's little shit-fit over her laces fucked over Josée Chouinard by forcing her (Josée) to perform ahead of schedule. A LOT of bad feelings over that one. Josée was a sweetheart who won our hearts. Tonya was an attention-whore who should have been drowned as an infant.
