Do the Democrats really need to do this to curry favor with Hispanics? These perps were convicted and in the process of being deported after their releases.

Among the 36,000 immigrants whom U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement released from custody last year there were 116 with convictions for homicide, 43 for negligent manslaughter, 14 for voluntary manslaughter and one with a conviction classified by ICE as “homicide-willful kill-public official-gun.”

Oh, and ICE has been ordered to shut up about it.

"We were given specific instructions not to comment on that report," said Greg Palmore, a Texas-based ICE spokesman

ICE said 75 percent of the convicted murderers released in 2013 were considered “mandatory releases” in compliance with court decisions.

So, not their call.

“Others, typically those with less serious offenses, were released as a discretionary matter after career law enforcement officers made a judgment regarding the priority of holding the individual, given ICE’s resources, and prioritizing the detention and removal of individuals who pose a risk to public safety or national security,” ICE said.

So, again, not their call and, why are these people held in ICE facilities and not the regular ones anyway?  Sounds like another "throw money at it" problem.  If you don't like the releases, lobby your Congress Rep to allocate more money to the ICE budget.

Why are we holding them in the first place?  Once they are released from jail, prison or whatever, they should be on the next boat home.

I guarantee it is less of a problem in a country like Mexico. Anyone convicted of these types of crimes rot in a dungeon for a very long time.  Those who survive are more than willing to GTF outta there.

Mexico has a huge problem on their south border, not like Greece or Turkey of course but still pretty bad.  Find me a country bordering a shit-hole and I'll show you an illegal immigration problem.

The Guatemalans are a major illegal problem for Mexico.  But, of course, the Mexicans send them to school, sign them up for welfare, give them drivers licenses, and amnesty.
