Blood will tell, and as I'm descended both from people who fought for Scottish Independence and people who fought to conquer Scotland, my instincts were pulled in both directions. I favor an independent Scotland, but instincts inherited from ancestors who fought against Scots objected. Our ancestors live in our DNA, and their memories and voices call from our blood. This is the reason conservatives and liberals smell different (see topic on this), and why dogs of different breeds have very different behaviors. And this is the reason one shouldn't seek to have children with people of races different from your own.

I'm still trying to figure out how a "country" so addicted to the dole thought they can support themselves financially. They have some oil wealth, but Saudi Arabia it is not. Their oil revenue has fallen in half, from 12 to 6 billion just in the last two years. They were just pissed they weren't getting ALL of the oil money PLUS the extra support from Whitechapel.
Well, at least my Scotch won't be tapped to make up the difference now...
