Botched surgery for pudgy media whore Glenn Beck.

Be warned:  I had trouble watching this vid all the way to the end, even to gloat.  Even on his bed of pain, Glenn Beck is an insufferable windbag.

He's never specific about what his "botched" surgery was for.  I can only assume it was an attempt to extract his head from his ass--and so, very obviously, a complete failure.

Well, he has been quoted as saying "I think plastic surgery is sad and insane," so let's rule out the lipo...though that wouldn't be the first time a neocon pulpit bully turned out to be a hypocrite, would it. He's a former drug addict, and his mother offed herself when he was 12 (also a brother, the other had a heart attack, somehow). See how people cope--or don't--when life scares the crap out of them?

Not fat enough for gastric bypass, possible candidate for partial liver or kidney transplant, a bit too young for cardiopulmonary disease. Among the short list of 'necessary' procedures he might have had, I'd say appendectomy, spinal surgery, or removal of a growth. If he's flat on his back, incapable of shaving, I'll tend toward something bone-related, with a bonus staph infection for George's amusement.

I think he had to have a huge polyp removed via his ass.  That’s why he didn’t want to be remembered for dying from this surgery.

I understand very well why he freaked out in the hospital.  I had most of my surgeries in private surgery centers and things went very well considering that surgery is a drag.  For one on my surgeries, I had no choice; it was do it now or lose my sight in my right eye.  It was in this horrible hospital in Santa Ana staffed by Turd Worlders.  The anesthesiologist was a filthy midget Viet Cong who was dripping grease and couldn’t speak English very well.  I had the only horrible anesthesia experience I’ve ever had.  The incompetent Filipina who was my post-op nurse was going to send me home without seeing if I could pee.  I refused to leave until I was sure three hours under anesthesia hadn’t temporally paralyzed my bladder.  She was unable to organize getting me dressed and getting a wheelchair to get me out of there.  My family helped me pee, got me dressed, found a wheelchair and got me out of there, unescorted by a staff member.  The hospital didn’t give me the post-op medications and supplies I was supposed to take to my doctor’s office the next day.

Other Fnords have had terrible experiences in hospitals.  Fnords always stay with a family member who is hospitalized to make sure they receive proper care.  Here in my new undisclosed location, I did hospital vigil duty for an elderly Fnord having surgery.  This hospital was staffed by White people and my relative received excellent care.  I and the other local Fnords didn’t need to be on the lookout for incompetence and could have skipped vigil duty.

They're all incompetent, fnord. You got lucky. It happens.

Maybe it was just the hospital equivalent of having someone spit in your food?

Having had many many major surgeries, I have to agree with fnord.  Filapinos make the worst fucking nurses ever.  They're lazy, stupid and are more interested in the fucking lumpia and adobo their friends brought to work.  Actually, they are the worst employees in any job.

Yes they do seem to bring their antisocial attitude to work.

I respectfully disagree. I had Filipino nurses all througout my medical dramas this year, and they were all competent and nice.

Not to mention my nephew is marrying one, and she is a smart, beautiful, hard working, and sweet girl.

I have been in hospitals more this year than in my whole life.  I don't known if it really made a difference, as I have not experienced an ethnic nurse or doctor (aside of the anesthesiologist).  I had an Indian Anesth for my hand surgery, he was fine.  I had an oriental lady for my major surgery.  She was very concerned, took a lot of time to ask me questions, and took plenty of time to explain everything and make sure I had no questions.   My doctor(s) and nurses were all white, including the med students that I allowed to watch my first surgery for learning purposes (they too, were great) so I have no idea how or if an ethnic person would differ if at all from what I had.

I chipped a tooth (a molar, and a pretty large chunk) this weekend from grinding my teeth, so I am off to pick a dentist tomorrow.  Since my insurance is new,  I can't go to the usual dentist.  The closest ones to me is literally a walk across the street from work.  They are all Indian or Oriental.  Doesn't matter to me, if they do a good job, I'll keep going.  However, the BF has expressed concern.  He says, and I quote, "I'd drive an extra 20 minutes just to insure an oriental didn't clean my teeth".

Well, I'm glad to hear that no extra trauma-drama was added to your already painful experience.  Admittedly my surgeries were mostly done almost 25 years ago, so maybe they are now being trained in America.  The ones I had were FOB and could barely speak english. I still maintain that the ones currently at my job spend more energy trying to get out of work than they do working.

That would make them fully assimilated, then, to the American way of life.

Yeah, I'd like to silence that anchor-baby bitch with my dong down her throat.  That'd show her.  Even if it didn't, I'd feel better.

I've never had a Filipino nurse, so I can't say about how competent or smart they are, but I do have a pretty good story.  When I was in the Coast Guard we had several Filipinos on board as stewards.  These are basically personal servants for the officers.  They were excellent poker players, understood everything that was going on in the game, and would easily win your paycheck.  Any other time, and especially when you asked them to do something, they played dumb and pretended not to understand English.

The wakeup for me was a shipboard Scrabble contest.  It was two man teams in an elimination tournament.  The odds on favorites were the Executive Officer and the Engineering Officer, both academy grads.  As the tournament progressed, everyone was in awe of how the two low-ranking Filipinos were doing.  They blew through the field, faced the two officers in the finals, and easily won the match.  Scrabble, in their second language.  This is an honest to gawd true story.  I was there and my team was in the tournament (we went out after a couple of rounds.)

I grew up listening to my old man, a former naval officer and half assed poker player, tell the same story so it's safe to assume Filipino men have served in the same capacity at least since WWII. I know if I were from the Philippines I'd flee that matriarchial nightmare as far and fast as my little legs would carry me. (I escaped the Coast Guard's clutches only by the skin of my teeth. Six years servitude? Yeah, right.)

I later questioned the Filipinos from my story.  One of them had been a major in the Filipino airforce.  He was very intelligent and had an engineering degree.  He gave it up to serve as an E-3 (think PFC in the Army) in the Coast Guard.  The chances of him making a higher grade were very slim, but he could retire after 20 years with enough to live large back home.

I thought the Coast Guard was my best option during the Viet Nam war.  Silly me, I thought they wouldn't be sent to war.  Unfortunately, many ended up on Swift boats.  I escaped this fate when orders came through and I only had 11 months left to serve.  They took a lifer with the same rank as me instead.  I served only a 4 year enlistment back then.
