We have two new kittens - one forest and one desert - should I ever get the motivation to upload video's the hilarity is enormous.
Kittens playing is better than almost anything else in life.
If you did not already know this: You know those plastic caps on milk bottles, where you grab the little tab and pull and a strip of springy plastic comes off? Cats adore those plastic strips and will chase them around like maniacs for hours.

Here was a new one for me: Green beans - the little forest guy goes nuts with fresh green beans. Came home to find the house decorated with what had been planned to be part of dinner, twice. Never thought I'd have to keep green beans under lock and key.

With ours, it's mushrooms, olives, Brussels sprouts, and green bean juice from a can.

The cat of my girlhood NEVER begged or stole food--with one exception: my mother's homemade pimento cheese. He was super well-mannered unless you were trying to eat a pimento cheese sandwich, in which case he would climb up your body, all the way up your arm, and take bites out of the sandwich you were holding in your hand.

Mine was a half feral barn cat, a superb hunter to ripe old age who had a baffling craving for pumpkin innards.

This is a new one on me -- it would seem that "cucumber fear" is a cat thing.

Not to worry -- a few strategically placed cucumbers is all it will take to send them scrambling back to where they came from.

Remember whatjeffkilled.com? I had forgotten and went to look at it this eve.
Jeff passed in 2014. His age was approximated at 16; a good run for a cat.

My own best beloved cat lived to thirteen, from when I was ten years old to when I was in college. Even my dad cried when he passed.
Goddamn I still miss my cat.
