Yah.
I just found out that he played Rasputin 20+ years ago in a BBC production and now I have to go track that down and watch it.
P.S. 2016 so far (we're just two weeks in!) is looking to suck even worse than 2015 did, which is horrifying.

True. Check out BBC's early 80s production of Smiley's People, episodes 1-6, aired well before Rickman appeared in his first film. He has a walk on role as a hotel desk clerk and Alec Guinness, as Smiley, asks him to safe keep a package. Doesn't last more than 10 seconds and you can't forget it.
