I remember hearing about this. Mediocre would probably be a grace considering they've been hacking away at this for 10 years. Even Pratchett hated the script. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wee_Free_Men#Film).
I do like the BBC treatment of the Hogfather. It's my favorite, I re-watch it every Christmas.
