I like the idea. Instead of a nice EBT card, they should just give everyone a mule.  It could only improve the smell of public housing and maybe the grass will get mowed a little more often. And if you don't want to farm it, eat it.

Fun anecdote: My neighbor is a lawn guy, mows grass all over town. He took a contract at some public housing (which is pretty nice in our little bedroom community) and in the first month he had his lunch cooler, his logging chains, a box of edger blades, the seat cushion for the mower and a box of shirts with his company logo stolen from his truck. While he was mowing their lawns. He caught one 8yo kid stealing the box of t-shirts (on a weekday morning) and when he took him back to his apartment to tell his parents, nobody was home. The kid just skips school every day. Even the UPS guy locks the truck when he parks there now. You can't mow before 10am or all of the hangover sufferers come out and scream at you for disturbing their beauty rest. But he DID get a good hookup for cheap homegrown schwag from the old lady that "manages" the place, her son grows out in the swamps, so there was a silver lining.

I will buy that stock as well.

I had to be in Philly last week for a work thing.  Air space over New York was locked down because the UN Security Council was having a circle jerk.  I don't think there is much that would make me happier than to have the US secede from the UN and give them 30 days to get all their shit out of NYC and into Paris or some other immigrant slum hole in the EU.

Fun anecdote.  I live in an upper middle class neighborhood.  Yesterday my wife went out to walk our dog.  A couple of local young men (ages in 20s or 30s) were out on the street, both of them pissing next to our mailbox.  She asked them not to do that again.  They cursed at her ("fuck you" and "go to hell bitch"), and one of them said she should shut up if she knows what's good for her.  Trash may be trash, but money is not everything.

That kind of behavior gets you shot in Texas.
