Why encourage the bastards? Follow rcade's new News Alert Banana to Opera-unfriendly Workbench and you'll see what irritation a donation buys you. Imagine your remorse if -any- of these scumbags win.
The entire Internet is Opera-unfriendly.

Dang. Now High Street needs one:
As for the desire to disenfranchise oneself out of pure apathy, it's a lot easier to blame a slate of crappy, clone-like candidates, isn't it? I will pay no attention to the political opinions of anyone who insists he or she won't vote. I don't expect anybody to demonstrate, donate, or voice support for a party or person, but to give up this most basic freedom is offensive (and not in a 'fun' way).
Abstention proves nothing more than that one is willing to let idiots choose on his or her behalf. It is decidedly "UN-cruel," in the spirit that we enjoy it here.

It's always the smart ones who lie.

Why bother asking Lurkette? I told you I don't swing that way unless you're ready to go post-op.

Phred, I don't have anything to back my opinion up, but from personel observation I suspect that Hillary hate is not as widespread as you ascribe it outside partisian republicans.
Way back in March there was an interesting poll done by Harris Interactive. The question that they asked that most people don't ask is, "who would you refuse to vote for?" In that poll about 50% of people stated that they would refuse to vote for Hillary Clinton. The number is probably lower now that the Republican candidate pool has been revealed more clearly to the public, but I still tend to think that if Clinton becomes the Democratic Party's candidate the race will be closer than it would if Obama wins.
I really wouldn't have any problems voting for Clinton, but I've always felt a Clinton victory would be as polarizing as Dubya's has been. I can easily see another razor thin victory with plenty of disputed votes and ill feeling.
Frankly, I would much, much rather see Edwards take the nomination.
