Wonder what road? Wife was at the Jetty Fishery yesterday.
Making her her way back to PDX tomorrow.
Long as it's still wiggling, could have her stock a cooler, spin some brodies, then catch the flight home.

Highway 101, Depoe Bay Fire District (unincorporated area), which is on the coast, due West of Salem. You could get there in two hours from Portland.
Apparently these were actually hagfish rather than eels, and they release a slimy substance when they get excited (the joke's so obvious I won't bother to make it).
