See what can happen when we make young men deny their true sexuality and pretend to be something they're not?

Police officials initially said the apartment was owned by actress Mary-Kate Olsen.
They said they believed Olsen, 21, was in California and that Ledger had been living in her apartment.
But a representative of Olsen said later that the apartment did not belong to the actress.
“It is not her apartment,” said Annette Wolf, a publicist for Olsen.
“She does not own the apartment. She has never owned the apartment. She and her sister have an apartment in New York City but they are not in this building,” she told the NY Times.
Smells like PR damage control to me.

From XM: I saw this on CBS and couldn't stop laughing. Seventy-eight year-old guy donates a million dollars to a local school called St. Augustine's. The "big human interest story" is that he was a factory worker his whole life and "never earned more than $11 an hour" (not entirely true, if he was always working overtime). It's definitely a testament to frugality, or outright cheapness. It's also what's financially possible if you don't...cough, cough...have more than just your dog to spend it on.
After you watch the CBS vid, tell me that you don't see some direct parallels to "Herbert the Pervert" on Family Guy. I think even the camera man understood they needed B-roll of Navone doting on his pet in a girlish lilt, spliced with 13-year-olds in their swim trunks.

When my son wants to creep the fuck out of me, he says vaguely nasty things in a dead-on Herbert the Pervert voice.
I'm not a huge fan of Family Guy.

That is very sad news. Talented young actor, and leaving a small daughter behind. Sad stuff.

I agree. I thought he was an unusually talented young man, and I wish he'd lived to act in a few more good movies.

That's life's cruel irony for you, that along with the mysteries of Darfur and pedophilia, Scott Baio still walks the earth while Ledger bought the farm.

Perhaps. But you can also count on me to have already done some Photoshop Schadenfreude.
If that fails, then have some Brokeback Trek. To boldly go where a great many men have gone before...

Well said Dusty. When the new Batman movie comes out, everyone will see his talent. Besides, he was really hot.
