It just wasn't a Saturday morning UHF cartoon-a-thon if it wasn't introduced by Bozo and wrapped up when Elvira introduced the Saturday noon "scary" movie.

Agreed but, adolescence.  I first heard it in 1971.  I was 15.

Me too; I became aware of them at the same time and same age. Jeez, Baywolfe, we're the same age within months. Born right at the peak of the Baby-boom.

Who said anything about the ratio of births? The single greatest month for births in the US was November, 1956, the month I was born. The greatest full year for births was 1957, which, in spite of a growing population base, wasn't surpassed until 2007.

HI! I'm Joe Beats.

Say, what chance does a deceased returning war veteran have for that good payin' job, more sugar, and that free Mule we've all been dreaming of?

Now take off your shoes.

Now you can see how increased spending opportunities, mean harder work for everyone, and more of it, too! So, do yourself a favor, Joe. Join with millions of your friends and neighbors, and, TAKE OFF YOUR SHOES!

"For INDUSTRY!"

You guys are nothing but a pack of cards!

That's a Bozo No-No...

Anyway, Frank Avruch, the toes up Boston Bozo who led this post, had competition in this media market from Rex Trailer, a galloping cowboy with a similar live format. Rex lived less than a mile away and would occasionally use the farm abutting us for taped segments. My fearless baby sister, 9 years younger, adored him and insisted I make introductions. I was 12, besieged by a determined toddler and could not say no. Lord knows I tried. My sister, I knew, would immediately begin spouting the nonsense my old man taught her to recite whenever adults asked her name. I slid under a VW microbus with a leaky oil pan and awaited my doom.

On his way out of the barn, Trailer intentionally kicked my sneaker and said, "I'd have hid, too!"
