Blah, meh and bollocks. Bert & Ernie were just friends, that kind of shit is OK too. The "everything not heterosexual is gay" movement is full of shit. Fuckers trying to find a way to normalize their sexuality by re-assigning others.
Bert & Ernie were based off the hit TV show "the Odd Couple", simple as that. Nothing more annoying than people trying to re-assign history to support their current beliefs, for fucks sake guys can live with a buddy without having butt-sex, it is simply a fact.

It made me a shit-ton of money and ultimately led me to my current job (EDI - not PowerBuilder) where I work at home for a company in Philadelphia. PowerBuilder started gasping and wheezing about the time that Mitchell Kertzman and David Litwack sold out to Sybase. I still think that for about a ten year period it was the best and most powerful enterprise level development environment out there.

Powerbuilder taught me that I wasn't a "bit-whacker" but I loved the data window function. I built several apps off of that platform before I went to infrastructure only. Simply enough, nobody puts a developer on a Business Class flight to Munich/Sydney/Tokyo but they sure as hell will fork out the cash for a Generalist/Infrastructure/PM.
(and no - that Oriental pussy ain't sideways but it sure is sweet)

I ate a few meals and drank many brews with the dude that invented the DataWindow and the DataWindow Control. Alas the neurons that hold his name will not fire, unfortunately. He never made more than good money with Powersoft and Sybase but after Litwack left Sybase he started another company based essentially on selling a PowerBuilder-like development environment for Java and Web design. He took the DataWindow dude and a few other key PowerSoft people with him to help write it. They all got huge stock options and when the price hit ~$100 and their restrictions ended, they all sold out for millions. So he got his just reward after all.
