Probably but the curiously absent detail in the retelling here is how long this blood sucking industry of ours has flourished, especially in college towns. That's how I paid for text books in the middle 70s.

Interesting how other countries ban being paid for plasma or blood collection on ethical grounds, but do not ban the import of those products, because their citizens would die without it.
One more step for America on the road to third world country status, good only for supplying "natural" resources to the civilized world.
