But I paused when I saw how young she is to be writing from such a mature voice, starting at 18, 3 years ago. And wonder what else lies ahead for someone who is living out an experience of a life with opiates?

For more on rewriting society's relationship with drugs to more match the reality with harm reduction there is Dr Carl Hart. And he is quite humorous to listen to as he describes his late in life taking up and keeping on of opiates  and others. And though certainly mature enough a person, I wonder what more time will tell.
