Imagine what a terrorist picture they'd have painted of me at 11 years old. I owned a 22LR, and was encouraged to use a 22 Magnum for the groundhogs in the pastures. I also shot skeet (usually 18 gauge and under supervision), and my grandfather kept a loaded 30.06 in the corner (which I wasn't to touch on pain of an asswhipping).
Something worth noting about this young moron... he wasn't in possession of his 22s, and he had no ammo for the 9... so basically he was going to shoot his school up with air guns?
EDIT: Oh, and no matter what the media and politicians want to tell you, an assault rifle has a select fire switch and requires a Class C license. What you mean is "a 9 mm that looked like an assault rifle".
