At the risk of fulfilling Godwin's Law, anybody that even vaguely understands the history of pre-WWII Germany who can't see the parallels between that and the Trump gang, are blind.  The Fascism playbook never changes.  I wouldn't be surprised to discover that Fox burned down their own Christmas tree just to throw blame and suspicion on "the left" whoever they are.

That's in California and tit for tat never really works. Newsom just wants his name in the news. 99.9990 percent of gun owners are not the problem with the violence out there. We can continue to blame guns for violence and never really address the causative factor, just like how abortion laws don't address the actual issues. It is all fucking theatre, to address the root causes would mean an actual overhaul of societal structure which would contradict the Capitalist Juggernaut.

I don't think it's "tit for tat" so much as trying to get the law thrown out.  And, yes, our FedGov will try to treat the symptoms not the cause.
