My mom took me to the library every other week from the time I first learned how to read until I was 16. The she said, "You're on your own now." I stayed with the library until I was 18 and had a car and then I started my love affair with used book stores, which lasted until, Amazon I guess.

It should, you would think it should. But unfortunately not quite. Only if she was dressed as a librarian.
Or, she read to you from some esteemed tome until she just could read no longer. In that case, anything she wears is fair game and definitely counts.
