Yeah, I actually knew a guy who did that (I almost typed "a friend;" But, honestly, I never really liked nor trusted the son of a bitch).  We'd been eating Jimson seeds that night, and - I've no idea why - he was motivated to consume the entire contents of the ash-tray.  He ended up in the emergency room at the hospital where his mother worked as a nurse; So, at least I was able to get a laugh out of it even if nobody else could see the humor in the situation.
