Well, Prince Harry's been well and truly blooded. (Warning: Writing style of article saturated with tongue-dangling breathless Pommy royal-worship.)
The story broke late last week, and His Princeitude has of course been called home for security reasons.
"...I think this is about as normal as I'm ever going to get," he said in an interview while he was there. "As far as I'm concerned, I'm out here as a normal JTAC on the ground and not as Prince Harry."
Sadly, he's probably right about the normality. I feel a little sorry for the fellow--he was only trying to do his duty, same as the soldiers on either side of him, but he's prevented from doing even that.

The cat was already out of the bag before drudge got it. Hary's deployment was always a PR move and the Brits knew full well it would likely be exposed and were prepared for the eventuality. Heck his tour was already shortened 4 months instead of the normal 6 and it has been reported that his unit was in no way normal soldiers on either side of him but partialy made up of SAS assigned to watch after him.
Each player in this passion play played out their role as scripted, including Drudge and those who get to criticize the leak. Still Harry is a likable lad, knows the importance of his symbolic role, and speaks well. He has crafted an admirable start to his public career and image. Which owes no small part to the careful ministrations and guidance of his father who has learned to do for his sons what he could not do for himself.
Compared to the rest of royals his antics are just impish tomfoolary.

Harry is rumored to have been squirted into Princess Diana by James Hewitt, one of her last Caucasian lovers. If this is proven, he would need to be banished from the family, if not eliminated like his mother and the mixed race bastard she was pregnant with at the time of her demise.
