The ratings will make cops self-conscious of how they come across to people, even if they are criminals.

A double negative is a positive, right?

BTW, in case people didn't get the reference, to me asking people to rate their interactions with cops reminds me of the question posed to Mr. Horse:

Of course the cops are upset. The police don't like to be policed. I'm pretty sure it's well known that police recruits are rejected if they are "too smart" They don't want anyone that may think for themselves. Only those who will follow the letter of the law. Period. Here in SF we have a group of 25 "officers" that are NOT sworn cops. These "officers" are in uniform and carry firearms.
They are most likely people that didn't make the grade because they were either too stupid or had criminal backgrounds. Kind of like our BART police... One such person on this special force is facing charges of drug possession (one of many stupid laws) and stolen firearms (not such a stupid law). He is currently suing the city for discrimination. He is black and gay....and blaming a spurned lover for "being set up" even though he was busted due to a domestic dispute with said lover and the cops found guns and drugs at his home. So, how would we be able to rate these shitheads? Anyway, no-one should be surprised cops hate anyone watching their activities.......
