I've had this cough/flu/whatever for a week. For me, this kind of thing usually goes away in a day or two - anyway, I finally went to my doctor, who gave me a prescription for roughly a pint of cough syrup with codeine. I think a couple spoonfulls for a couple good night's sleep will do for the bug.
Perhaps several deep gulps of icky sweet syrup with codeine left. Suggestions? There's a chemical process to convert codeine to morphine, but too much work. Or, is it all a lie, and no codeine?

You meant Buffy Saint-Marie, though Quicksilver did a passable attempt. Anyway... Codeine can be quite the pleasure if you work it right, and the amount of fuckage you would have to get it close to morphine is not worth it. A spoon full every half hour... and don't do anything else that will screw with your CNS. (read alcohol)

I was never a big fan of the depressant family, but I did love codeine. Very...peaceful.

I much preferred the Quicksilver version, myself. Maybe because I saw them do it at Fillmore West.
Anyway - I will carefully exceed the prescription dose and report back.

Percocet for me. Love the stuff.
All in moderation, of course.
