You can only emulate the life of Thor if your home is a steam grate on 52nd Street.

Man, homeless guys find all of the cool street stuff. If I found that sticking out of a trash can, I would totally wear it to the grocery store.

I suggest you look up: MoonDog... he was not homeless, and there is a musical festival every year in Germany celebrating his works, yes.

I am going to take exception to this Lurker. That remark is pure bullshit. He was a prominent figure in New York 20 years before the summer of Love... so he was a bohemian, and his music is very well thought of. I would suggest you do look him up, read his story, before blowing chunks on the discussion.
Thanks,
D

I HAVE read about him, and unfortunately listened to some of his crap. Almost 40 years ago....feh...you guys were (are?) using too many drugs and thought everything was "cooool man"
and I notice you didn't even get the Beefheart reference...some hippie you are...

He is cool enough to be thought of one of the great influences on Terry Riley, Philip Glass and others.
Your Quote was safe as milk.

Hey, no offense dude... and yes I get the "safe as milk" reference.

Lurky - Nobody requires that you like MoonDog's music, or that you get why he chose to live the way he did. At the very least he was original, and there are far too few who have their own vision. It has nothing at all to do with hippies or the beats or any of that stereotyping crap. No more than assuming that you like it all the way up to the Timex. I agree with you generally about Glass. I often get bored listening and end up watching her because she got those great big drums sticking out, big chicken legs beat when she walks flapping down the street where I live, well she's slipping along easy like fried chicken, grew sort of greasy, easy, I ain't blue no more.
Oops. Forgot this:
