It’s not like she had a bright and shining future ahead of her; she would have just grown up to be a welfare crack whore like her mother.

It's a pity flaying isn't an accepted form of punishment. One strip of skin for each bruise they find on the victim's body.

I used to be a big fan of Starship Troopers (the book, not the movie) style capital punishment, but in my old age (28) I have decided that capital punishment is immoral.
Yes, I know, it's shameful. But you guys still love me anyway, right?

I also am opposed to capital punishment, not because I think it is immoral, but because I think it is too humane. It’s much more cruel to make someone spend their life in one of our dangerous overcrowded prisons dealing with noise, boredom, crappy food, stench, gang rape and shanking.

Yes, I'm all in favour of peeling their skin back in 5" sections and sprinkling salt on them. Eye for an eye and all that, don't you know.

By all means. And if they're radical Muslims, rub them with lard. If they're "Black Muslims," tell them the pig was white. And a slave owner.

Well, I'd also like to see a full auditing of the legal code so that the prisons aren't nearly as full. Legalization of various drugs would be a fine way to start. Also, I'd like to see de-privatization of the prison system, for obvious reasons.

Why? Imprisonment is one of the few growth industries in America. Investment in the stocks of private incarceration firms could bring a nice ROI and make your old age more financially secure.

I had not thought of it in those terms, I admit, but from an ethical standpoint I'd rather stay poor.

unfortunately, you can't eat ethics...but they will most likely be shoved down our throats in the near future....our own as well as "theirs"
