I'm rather fond of chaos myself but someone obviously got annoyed enough to demote RT from admin to member, so let's vent, eh?
I don't want to see this happy lunacy implode and I'm ok with whatever keeps it alive, short of banning people.
A poll as a last resort, I guess, but what do you think? One admin... many admins and mutually assured ridicule... or what?

If moderators can be allowed to edit posts and post to the front page, we don't need more than 1 or 2 admins.
The situation as it is leaves me with my ass hanging out, considering you were sneaky enough to point all the board mail in my direction while I wasn't looking.

While I like the idea of anarchy, I'd hate to see it bring High Street down. I'm not offended about my earlier posts being changed, but I'd hate to see that happening to anyone on a regular basis. If our fellow High Street residents begin barging into posts and editing at will, it undermines our ability to say or post what we want.
If you're offended by what you see on here, go ahead and whine and kvetch about it. Lob out insults, post disgusting photos, and call to question the sexuality/gender/humanity of the other. But I don't believe any of us have the right to begin editing others' posts.
I say we pair it down to no more than a few admins.

As for the question presented by the original post: I do have to admit to being a bit torn. Whilst I generally abhor any form of censorship, I have to admit that I laughed aloud at Ranger's shenanigans in Taint's message. Still, I do believe that in time, you'll likely be faced with having no choice but to scale back on the number of Administrators. Of course, I could be wrong. It happens . . . Not often, but it does happen.

I concur. I think you can leave editing abilities alone...until people start getting their feathers in a bunch for real. I think as long as people are willing to give up the game within a reasonable time, it's definitely more fun this way.
I saw an email [from someone] alerting me that I had been demoted to user. The first thing that popped into my head was "ooh, this is going to be very very interesting..." while an evil grin lit up my face. I wasn't like "RAGE RAGE HORSEONOVICH OVERLOAD RAGE RAGE JAIRO JEEZY BOARD BOMB". I was nonplussed...

Actually my experience with demoting RT makes me think that this situation screams auditing more than anything else. Power and responsibility are all fine and good, but mostly people need to know who to blame when the shit hits the fan. It doesn't need to be posted publicly or anythning, but at least choad should be able to have a fairly accurate accounting of who did what.
