Figured I would share a picture of Dirckman's new toy........
Glad to see you have a new toy to help you to emotionally compensate for the inadequacies of the "old toy" you posted pictures of back in the days of Cruel...

You're only insulted because the new Mustang is better looking and almost has back seats.

I've just been reading about the traverse leaf springs in the thing. Fascinating. Sounds like a dentist's best friend.

They put back seats in women's cars so they have a place to put the baby seat.... I can't bitch about the Mustang GT500 though, I took a new Mustang down the California coast last fall when I took my vacation and it was a great car. It was comfortable, had plenty of get up and go and was actually very user friendly. I just can't get over how big they are and how high off the pavement you ride. A sports car should be really little with only two seats......

So you're thinking Corvette drivers wind up looking like this:
They're not that bad. But if you watch one they all practically stop to turn into a parking lot, to keep from scraping. I'm surprised they don't get high centered on speed bumps.

I have kids. A two seat car would be purely toy, and require that I spend money on projects for the Boss. It's a muscle car, not some wimpy British green sports car.
Speaking of baby seats:

Like this?
I have one of these that I'm restoring. It was my dad's, lots of happy memories from jr. high on. I hope to have it finished and running before my oldest finishes high school. Gotta love aircooled German engines on tight vehicles with control issues:

none of these pictures really does justice to the unique presence of the wide bubble-back of the things.

This was my dream-car when I was a teen. First time I saw it in Sports Car Graphic mag I was awestruck.
Funnily enough, it's specs and weight just about match my Silvia now, although I'd wager it couldn't match the robustness and reliability...

Nope, just a picture from the web. Type "baby seat" into google image search if you want to buy the floaty thing. I don't know if I'd do her or not, she only meets two of the requirements for me to cheat on the boss. Younger and thinner, at least when the picture was taken. The boss and I were discussing men I work with who are cheating on their wives. Almost exclusively with larger and uglier women. I told her if I was going to all that trouble and risk it would be with someone younger, thinner, better looking, and with more money than her. She laughed, like I couldn't attract a woman like that. So far she's been right. Usually I think I'm a lot funnier than the boss thinks I am.
