More here. Why can't Christians, Jews, and Muslims decorate their houses of worship this way?
Unfortunately, the Indians/Hindus don't do this anymore either, not since the Muslims moved in and fucked up their country.

George, it would have been more subtle to just post the pic. The narrative kinda spoils the thought process.
This one's for Lurker... perhaps an ancestor is in there somewhere...

When you're right, you're right.
P.S. The photo above is gorgeous. You realize those people had to hold those poses for at least several seconds (the best quality photographs required 120 seconds of exposure)?

Actually, I've been looking at that photo because the composition has intrigued me... I really think it is an early photo-shopping... note that several of the actors appear to be the same person, and there are some obvious cuts in the scene. I think it was three people - a guy with a 'stache, the boy with the fuzzy, parted hair and another boy with darker, straighter hair... and they repeated several scenes to create the larger scene. There several awkward cuts - along the trouser-leg of the couple to the left, at the tip of the toe near the bottom centre, and the arched bit above the boy on the right lower corner. Plus, the left arm of the gent being fondled on the lower left corner is entirely missing.
All the same, quite an interesting and unique piece.
Oh, and all three of the guys are, with almost no doubt, dead now.

Onanistic deep tissue crystalline necrosis is the sad but inevitable fate of the habitual masturbator.
