Spain's parliament voiced its support on Wednesday for the rights of great apes to life and freedom in what will apparently be the first time any national legislature has called for such rights for non-humans.

The secret ingredient is "Google context-based advertising." Good to know my haphazard graphic efforts have gone to a higher purpose.
As for "right to life, freedom and not to be tortured," this is something most zoo animals in modern, Western facilities enjoy, pardoning the whole 'captive' part, which not even the Spaniards seem interested in undoing. But can you imagine all those orangutans speaking in Castilian one day?
