I saw that movie.  There's about one-fifth of a really excellent movie mixed into that mess.  What a tragic waste of a wonderful story.

I am Legend was so, so much better the first two times they did it: Vincent Price in The Last Man on Earth and good ol' Charlton Heston in The Omega Man (which I thought was the best take on the story).

Omega Man had some of the worst acting I've ever seen.  I'm glad Charleton Heston is dead.
