Seconded. along with Wilbur's suggestion to ween out the chaff that insists on a no reach around policy.

You can do it with .htaccess file in the directory where the images are. The dreamhost control panel (goodies -> Htaccess/WebDav) can walk you through the process. add the following to the file (.htaccess) and drop it into the img directory, changing the imagetosendinplace.gif with the name of the image you want served in place of the linked image:
