That was my first impression. I mean, if you take away the Jew-hating, then there's nothing to differentiate the Nazis from, say, Italian-style fascists (or, as I like to call them, "wankers").

Makes perfect sense. The nazi's were not necessarily about massacring all the jews, they just wanted them out of Europe. Turns out, the most effective way of removing them from Europe was via chimney. Once they have their own country and are pissing off even more untermenchen, well, they they're the fuhrer's pajamas.
