My friend (who is a member of this site) wears a straight pride t-shirt. It has a black and grey flag instead of the traditional rainblow. He wears it because he's a super-fine looking DJ who gets hit on by men all the time.

I tried to find it, but only found this.

I wasn't going to mention anything 'bout this (just steal it for my site), but I feel pretty much the same about it as "white pride." People in the majority are not, by definition, oppressed. It is their "pride," or presupposition they must announce what should be obvious to all, that undermines the value of the experience. We don't have parades for male pride, height pride, or even Jew pride (that I'm aware of), but while individuals should feel empowered by what makes them unique instead of judged for it, to organize in a group on that basis is to defeat the whole purpose of being special.

That said, I was never one to be a big gay pride march attendee or participant. There was probably a rough, transitory weekend in 1991, but I quickly learned that if you don't want to be judged solely for your sexuality, then you don't make it the first thing people think about you when you meet them.

You missed your calling, pENIx. You should have been a social worker. If you start quoting Paulo Friere to us I'll drive down to Phoenix and take an enormous shit on your doorstep. (I'm hoping that falls just short of being an actionable threat.) Humans are human. They do not recognize a heirarchy of oppression. They will not respect a heirarchy of oppression. Arguing for one weakens the will and the intellect. Revolutions are won through force of will, not sophistry.

You really think they'll let everyone else live if they know they're on their way out? Sheesh. It's probably all the US can do to keep them from establishing a proper perimeter now.

Where did you find that definition?  People in the majority are, by definition, in the majority.  That's as far as it goes.  Remember apartheid?  From the 40's until the 90's the black majority population of South Africa was oppressed by the minority white population.

Parade my ass.  It'll be 20 guys with a paper sign, forced to walk on the sidewalk.

That definition is derived from Paolo Friere: The Pedagogy of the Oppressed. It's a book beloved by left-wing arts professors, "radical social workers," feminists, and Intellectuals of Colour. It's an important read if you want to understand the New Stalinism.

The middle class aren't oppressed, they're simply powerless in a One Party System.  Since there are never any candidates that represent the interests of the middle class, they delude themselves into believing that they're "Republicans" or "Democrats"; as if that has any real meaning in their lives.

Does the reading of any particular philosopher grant credence to an arguement??  Or shall we simply resort to Clauswitz and then what's done is done??

In the end Might still makes Right; and our minor victories for individual freedoms are but a footnote in the legal history of the realm.  Should you care to not be a living example of the "V" script, understand that none of the decisions based on "tyranny of the minority" will stand long-term, this is but an aberrational period - an over-correction if you will.

Sad as that may be, we remain, the individuals who strike for real freedom; normally at the expense of society as a whole.  It is amusing that we fail to understand the negative impact of our enlightened positions on a real society.  A balance must be struck and all the high ideas we enjoy preaching here are but worm hills in the face of the relentess politics of mankind.

The biological imperative will override all in the end, come Hell, High-water or advanced science; normalization and overt control will be achieved.

it remains:  A Brave New World

Ya know...  The last paragraph Pale makes here is exactly the point I wanted to get across a couple of months back and for some reason I started a shit storm when I tried....  I'm thinkin' it might be one of those situations where if you're a black guy you can call another black guy a nigger, but as a white feller you better not....

If being in the majority no longer makes you a minority, why are there minority set-asides for women, consisting of 51% of the population?

If we work from the political standpoint then it would be in consideration of the natural submissive nature of the human female in the early years and would ignore the dominance over the male of the species in the elder years.

I once had a girl break up with me because she took a women's studies class and decided our sex was all of a sudden too degrading for her to be participating in.  Half the crap we did she fucking asked for, and suddenly I'm the bastard.

The day we taught 'em to read we lost the fucking War.

shit peggy, by the time that woman hit 34 she wasn't able to get off unless the dude pulled her hair hard and mashed her head into the pillow like he was trying to put it through the bed.

We always win, we just wait em out nature takes care of the rest.

God, O+, that reminds me of my absolute favorite college gf.  Very strong and assertive in public, but in private...loved waterplay, had me tie her to her loft in her dormroom and then spank her ass hard while drilling her doggy style...god, how I cried when she left me...

34? Wait until they hit their late 40s. Women hear the biological clock ticking and they will rape your ass on the slightest pretense. Like 15 year old boys they are.

There is sex that is too degrading? Haven't found it yet.
