I checked it in FF, no probs, but I'm on a Mac. The only prob I had recently was something from JR in Dirckman's car thread, but that was an attempt to fudge an AVI thru a WMP. Do you experience this 'floating' thing with every video on HS, or just the embedded flash?

Yeah, same here. EDIT: It does not happen for every embedded item, but it does when sofie does her trick to embed things that the board doesn't specifically support, which i believe is something along the lines of:

They work fine for me in Opera.
Sofie is posting with 'easy visual bbcode'. If the same video I post in html below displays ok, then that's the problem.

No, and that's the point. every other time sofie embeds a video, the video "floats" like that in an awkward place. It does float in the same place within the page, so scrolling down does get you away from it, but it will make those first couple posts unreadable.

'flv-flash video' and 'swf-flash file' formats are always a hit or miss crap shoot. Hell, most of them are. Probably makes some sense to compile an embed code help file.

No, what's happening is that FireFox 3 doesn't like the html that is substituted for the BBCode for swf files, if I understand correctly.
Mostly, though, I wanted to humiliate you in a cruel and hurtful way because I'm an asshole.
