The economy is so bad for this rich guy that "He also may buy a hybrid to supplement the two Mercedes Benzes in his heated four-car garage."
I don't know about you, but I can tell that I'm broke when I have to buy a new car. Awww, does somebody need a widdle tax cut?

I've seen a couple of "news" pieces recently with this theme. But it's only the nouveaux and the poser wannabees who've overextended themselves. The truly wealthy are above it all, as always.

I'd love to feel sorry; but I've recently began splitting my 28 mile commute betweet the (sparse) LA train system and an old bike. I'm riding 14 miles to work to save the money it costs to run my little 28mpg (net) highway bomber; I'm starting to struggle with $50 per tank 3 times a week.
The hedge fund guy is whining because: well basically, he sucks at what he does. We're still positive; barely, but obviously better than him. Let me cry for the enfranchised.
I'll be sucking wind tomorrow at 4:45am and I can guaruntee he won't enter my mind.

That's totally rad. Earlier today, it was guys like you who were ultimately credited with the recent slight lowering of the price of gas. The republican pundit was trying to take credit for it, and was corrected by the actual stats that showed lower consumption.
Way to go. And just think - it's great for your ass.

Funny, I bet ( and lost) $120 at month end. I wagered based on economic anecedotes and the fact that our economist's live in a bubble; I missed by two days. I'm back in again for 09 ME @ 100.
I'm still betting that the run was manipulation as opposed to speculation (a favorite blame); the occurences were far to convient than to be random. But being the Tech guy for a Convert Arb Hedge fund does little to help me (or my fund) here. At best we've out-stabilized our peers, and I'm just the computer guy after all.
I have not the liquidity to enter into the commodities market, I only have the advantage of time and cynical friends (high-street) to help me guess at our market futures. That and fact that all of my real world friends have maxed their credit and are dying on the vine
Love you . . . but how dare you and fuck you!!!
**edit for spelling, and will need more***

The song's okay, but that video sucks. I think you're just mesmerized by Jackson Browne's super-dreamy eyes.
