They really are quite fascinating...little bastards were among my first introduction to Indiana in 1984.  August, hot sweaty nights, no a/c in student housing, and very little sleep with all the "wee-wee-weeerrrrrrr!!!" going on if you opened a window.  Their molts were all over.  A roommate of a friend of mine collected them and posed them in battle with his D&D figures.  Then-no more hatches the rest of the time I was there.
