I haven't seen it in something like thirty years. But I still remember it.

I'm so impressed you recognized it. I got the photo off one of my all time favorite blogs-they have a single entry for each day, some just cool historical photos, some stills from long forgotten but classic movies, and various ephemera. I'm currently reading Wisconsin Death Trip -and want to see the film-after seeing it referenced on there.

Do you have a line on the film? All I can find are references to a metal band by the same name.

I disagree. Above are three perfect examples for "NSFW Picture Thread."
Also, "Stinkhammer" is practically an NSFW handle.
Warmish welcome, Stinkhammer...Wait a sec--you're not ptah, are you?

That's a umbilical for the simulator - didn't you catch the optics in the flash suppressor? It's a combat simulator toy.

Well, full disclosure here. When I first moved to Houston in 1980, I lived in an apartment with free cable. It had a movie channel of sorts that played something like 12 old movies in rotation for a month and then changed to 12 new old movies. I must have watched Phantom a dozen times (along with Sgt Pepper's and Phantasm, and a few others).
When it became available on DVD I had to have a copy. I like to show it to people with the Dan Ackroyd Twilight Zone line, "Would you like to see something really strange?"
I'll check out the links.
