Hi everybody. We are currently out of town and are safe. We've been bouncing around the country for a week on business and have been going crazy because of 12-hour days and only being able to keep up with news and info on our Treos and airport CNN. As soon as one friend or relative is safe, two more are evacuated. I'm exhausted, and want to get back home, even if it is on fire.

Hi Fluffy and Feisty. Fluff, I hope your home is OK when you get back. Feisty, it’s OK to root for your exlaws to lose everything without worrying that you are jinxing Fluffy. The fires can crisp one block and leave the houses in the next block untouched. I have friends in Poway whose home is untouched, but the houses six blocks away are gone. Here’s hoping your exlaws lose everything and are unable to collect from any insurance they may have!
