It says she's flown there personally to find out what's going on. Mass hysteria, or just the perils of a "disadvantaged population?" She did open the school for girls who could otherwise not afford it, and whose home situations are probably appalling...not just by comparison to our own, but others in the same country. If we rounded up 150 poor white kids from the rural American South, and put them in a dorm overseen by someone else from their original community, then wouldn't we find comparable abuses? I don't particularly like Oprah, but she puts her money where her mouth is, and she's got a lot of both. I can respect that.

I shower everyday, brush my teeth, use deodorant, wear clean clothes, and do not suffer from an ailment like kidney failure which can cause an unpleasant odor.  Perhaps you suffer from a sinus infection?

Any boarding school can have problems.  If Oprah were running the day to day operations, I could see pointing fingers at her.
