Diane Sawyer is pretty useless. Stephanopoulis is being typically whiny. NBC's talking heads are unpleasant. Tom Brokaw is discussing "familiar recitations." This is the final lap, he says, and they've got Hillary and Mitt, and now a commercial, for some reason.

Romney on NBC. Virginia is turning Dem. Halvsies on the independents still adds up to an Obama win. Romney is lying about the negative campaigning. Trying to paint Obama as an "extreme wing of the Democratic Party." This is floundering. All Clinton needs to do is not react to it.
Hillary glows better than her usual dim stubbornness. She brings it back to the economic crisis. And, btw, we ARE having one, no matter who says we're in a recession or not. Supermajority is a true possibility. Sad thing is, the Democrats can't save us because no one can. Whoever gets office in November is going to be patently screwed. Democrats may be "ready to lead," but there is no real sense of WHERE. Merely "out of this mess" is expected, but no one has a concrete idea of how to resolve the current mess.

Interestingly Joe the plumber got consitantly very low dips. At the end they asked the panel about this. All but one, a republican who lives near good old Joe, gave plumbers butt the thumbs down everytime he appeared. The participants explained it that while they identified with his story, they didn't want personel ancedotes from the canditates in this forum, they want to know what their policy is all about.

Ah well, turns out Joe might not actually be a "Plumber" and he's $210,000 per year away from worrying about Obama's tax raise.
