Hold your fire. We're moving right now.

Service interruption may last as long as day.

Or it may last only 15 minutes.

Never any way to know for sure.

UPDATED: We've moved, enjoy.

I can't.

I manually set my hosts file to point to the new address, no sense in waiting on the DNS servers to catch up.

Man, I really need to start checking in here more often.

Nor can I.  I'm assuming, by your query, that we should still be able to.

Cool - When was the automatic spell-check added?  Man, I really do need to start checking in . . .

I was wondering wtf was going on. Looks like there are still a few image links to tidy up. Do you want bugs reported here, if others spot any?

Report away, but no configuration changes can be done right now.

I haven't noticed any image display or link problems, but I'll browse around some more.

And, just how closely did you look at the front page as you were logging-in?  It gets worse as you scroll further down that page.  I'm also seeing the infamous red "X" at the top of these pages.  I was using FireFox earlier, and am on IE7 now.  It appears the same in both.

Yeah, I see what you're saying.  I think all that should clear up as soon as  the high-street domain becomes DNSed and Choad removes the redirect.

What he said. Yeah. It's basically not what you're seeing, but what you're NOT seeing. That shouldn't be a propagation issue. I've also got "Greenlobster.net" as the URLs for anything past the index. Was there supposed to be some masking in place?

Is there a need for it?  The redirect is only for the next day or hopefully less.

I've just realized that due to the redirect Edit isn't working.  So post carefully :)

IF YOU CAN READ BUT CANNOT LOGIN, GO HERE

Ok, so here's the deal:

Choad needed us to vacate the old server quickly so we had to do it dirty.

The authoritative DNS has been changed to the new server, but it takes a few hours for those changes to propagate through teh tubes.

He placed a redirector on the old site that points to our temporary domain name 'greenlobster.net'.

The images on the front page and the header are hard coded to 'high-street.org', the actual server which that domain name points to is now just a redirector and does not have a copy of the image. I am a lazy man and would rather you wait a couple of hours fer da purty, so until the DNS propagates, you get x's.

Edit's don't work due to a security issue - the server is expecting you are coming from 'high-street.org', but you are coming from 'greenlobster.net', same issue if you attempt any admin tasks.

Considering how frustrated people are going to be attempting to log-in, I think that should be posted in large letters on the front page for the time being.

As soon as high-street takes you can get rid of the redirect and editing, admin functions and any images hosted from high-street will all work.

Good luck, I'm off to the VotD for at least a day.

Trying to delete an oversize post in the picture thread... Got this....

Bad HTTP_REFERER. You were referred to this page from an unauthorized source. If the problem persists please make sure that 'Base URL' is correctly set in Admin/Options and that you are visiting the forum by navigating to that URL. More information regarding the referrer check can be found in the PunBB documentation.

Well, if this is where to post whines, I've noticed the "(new posts)" links no longer take you to unread posts on a topic; instead, they take you to the top of the topic page, which is kind of a drag when the thread has any length.

Yes, I'm spoiled.

give it some time, as the DNS propagates, it'll resolve itself. apologies all around, but we had to act in a hasty manner.

Dusty, your post hath shuffled off it's mortal coil
