Another Top Gear favourite.... and I'd let Lurker fuck me if it meant I could get one.

I got the chance to play with one of these tonight for 20 miles or so.  I wondered what was coming up behind me that was so short.  The Boss kept telling me about the children in our back seats and how that meant I should slow down.

Those are beautiful cars...  I dropped by the Sturgis Mustang Rally a few weeks ago and was pleased to see a few people show up driving the GT.

Honestly, I think the new Mustang is the best looking 'stang since 1972.  (I do harbor a bit of an affection for the Ford-Escort-looking one from around '90)

Funny you should mention the early seventies Mustangs...  The seventh car in on the right side of the photo is sitting in Sturgis with a For Sale sign in the window now...  I stopped to gawk at it the other day and wished that it was red or black instead of white..

At speed doing anything else wouldn't be wise.  Also, every time you're asked "How fast are we going?" the proper answer is 95.

The correct way to handle a woman's complaints when you're driving "too fast" is:

1) Put the gas pedal on the fucking floor
2) Explain that you'll stop when she shuts up
3) When she shuts up, decelerate to X + 5mph where X is the speed you were going when she started freaking out

I can tell you don't know my boss.  There'd be a wreck, rational discourse has not followed any ultimatum I've ever delivered.

I dated a girl once who kept screaming for me to slow down on the corners.....   Since I didn't seem to be paying any attention to her screams she took it upon herself to throw my CD index out the window to get my attention.....   What a bitch....

Well, none of those, actually.  I just don't usually drive at outrageous speeds with the wife in the car... I don't enjoy it, since although she will sit there quitely through it, she clearly doesn't like it, and so the fun's kind of out of it.  Now, if she bitched, then it might be fun, but, alas, no.  Instead, I save my joyriding for when I'm alone and can really 'up' the danger lever and truly savor the thrill.  Besides, I like to lean over into the passenger seat on tight right-handers and I can't do that if some bitch is sitting there.

I was thinking SLR lines when I first saw it, but since you mentioned it, if I squint just right I do see a lot of Corvette styling cues....
