One would figure, just by sheer accident--presuming we were dealing with someone who was an utter neophyte to graphics--the aspect ratio would have to be close to tolerable at least SOME of the time. Reuse of the same aliased/jagged font is also something that can be "unlearned." No such attempts have been made. Fled's quieter than Princess Bullshit about his offerings. As such, I will simply delete them from now on.

It's taken long enough to come to this measure (months). There has been a willful avoidance of the learning curve, and HS doesn't brook that sort of shit. At any point along the road, some explanation could have been proffered, but as none is apparently forthcoming, these banners do not deserve to stand among the others as emblems of High Street. If there is some inherent logic or message, that High Street is half-assed and crappy, then message received...and banners deleted.*


*And I don't want shit from anybody about singling anyone out for removal. I delete enough of my own banners each week on account of that godsforesaken voting feature.

Okay - I just did something immature, but I was pissed off, and rightly so. I submitted a banner this AM which has been arbitrarily deleted without discussion. That's crap. It may also be crap that I made the automatic assumption that pALe made the deletion, and I reacted by deleting his last two banners. That makes me as bad as whoever deleted my banner, so I apologize. Just the same, arbitrary deletion is not cool, and certainly contrary to whatever loose ethic guides the chaos here at High-Street.

Honestly, although the two banners made from this pic are funny, neither is as funny as just the picture, by itself.

Maybe just put "High-Street" in small discreet letters right above the floral arrangement between them.

And just so we're clear, I'm not defending Ptah because I find his discourse so fascinating. The image was fine, the tag was out of line. That said, if Ptah wants it back, that too can be arranged. Bottom line: The banners aren't yours to "act out" with as you please.
