On the town's plus side, there is a very nice Whataburger there.
This place is a nowheresville Texas town that makes most of its revenue up on Hwy 80 via traffic stops.

I would reckon that a major paper is sold there also, it's not entirely unusual for the smaller paper to focus on local results when they know the major paper going to run the subject into the ground anyway.
I'm not sure I understand why this race is so "historic" anyway, it's not like this was out of the blue.
Now if he was a cross-dressing negro who practiced self-mutilation - that my friends would be historic.
