Because it was only a little more than four years ago the Bush administration floated the idea of postponing the 2004 election because of the "national emergency" in which we found ourselves. It went down like a lead balloon. Like many, I'm still surprised the Repugs didn't attempt anything with this one. Of course, it isn't Jan. 20 yet, either.

In other than title, this we have yet to see. If he's going to be some Darth Vaderish, behind-the-scenes manipulator kinda guy, well, then only time will tell...and I don't think it'll ever be as obvious as it was with Bush. Obama is already iconic. You're not supposed to go near those statuettes unless you're polishing them.
