"Fair"?  Really?  'Cause every review I've read today has trashed this movie.  Yours is actually the kindest review I've seen.

Agreed, I think that "Awful" is doing it a kindness.

Guess I'm just a kinder, gentler reviewer than most.

Frankly, I think the temptation to trash Keanu Reeves is more than most reviewers can pass up.  I admit it's hard for me to resist as well but my review stands: "Fair".

i REFUSE TO oh sorry about that, I'd been playing video games, where I use caps lock exclusively.

I refuse to go see these remakes in the theaters.  I'll steal that shit after it's been out a couple months and be disappointed for free at home.

My favorite review so far (no offense, Zoo) is "KLAATU, BARADA, STINKO."

Well, that's three words so I couldn't very well have used it, could I?

It's the Science Fiction equivalent to attempting to remake Citizen Kane. Anyone who tries has already failed. I refuse to see it.

I've been watching Devil's Advocate with Keanu Reeves and Al Pacino. Al Pacino is pretty good, Keanu Reeves is about as emotional as a fence post with a bad Southern accent, to boot, and the plot is, well, um, probably printed in a very nice typeface on the project proposal.

I can't imagine why on earth anyone thought they could even possibly improve on the original "Day..."

Oh, God--are you paralyzed or something?!  Can't get to the remote?  Scream for help until someone comes!

P.S.  Al Pacino is actually kinda good in that role provided you're in an Al Pacino mood.  But DeNiro in Angel Heart was a much better Mephistopheles.

I like classic sci-fi as much as the next guy, but I never really understood the love for Day the Earth Stood Still.  I watched it, it was ok, and I feel no burning desire to see it again.

Within the the first half-hour, I could tell I had a turkey on my hands, but I was actually hoping it would be as spectacularly awful as "The Ninth Gate". Unfortunately, it wasn't even that horrendous. I watched the whole thing; it was stupendously mediocre.

It scared the crap out of me when I was a little kid.
